The History of Professional Bull Riders (PBR): From Grassroots to Global Phenomenon

The Professional Bull Riders (PBR) was born in 1992 when 20 visionary bull riders came together with a bold idea: to take their beloved sport of professional bull riding to new heights. Each rider contributed $1,000 to create an organization focused on showcasing their sport as a standalone event. What began as a modest vision quickly grew into one of the most popular and exciting sports entertainment organizations in the world.  

     The Early Days 
In the early years, bull riding was primarily seen as a segment of rodeo events. However, the founders of PBR wanted to highlight the unparalleled intensity and skill required to ride a bucking bull.
